Our new research out this week with Centre for Care shows the economic value of contributions made by unpaid carers in the UK is now £184 billion a year. This huge increase – up by £64.9 billion since 2011 - is because families are providing more care than ever before.
Despite providing so much many continue to struggle – support to stay in work could not be more vital.

It’s not good enough to allow the support available to Unpaid Carers get chipped away by budget requirements while the numbers requiring support is set to increase.
If we’re prepared to think creatively there are options coming to market that would allow all carers to receive a carers assessment - as is their right under the Care Act.
