Online Community Host Volunteer

As an Online Community Host Volunteer, you’ll welcome new members to the Forum and when needed, signpost them to Carers UK information and support.

What will you get out of it?
By welcoming carers to the Forum who may be going through a difficult time and pointing them to vital support, you’ll be making a real difference for carers while also developing your IT and communication skills along the way.

The skills you need

Good knowledge of at least one social media platform.

Access to a computer, tablet or phone with internet access.

Excellent online communication skills.

The ability to write in a friendly and supportive way.

How we will support you
You’ll also receive bi-monthly e-newsletters with the latest volunteering news and you’ll have the option to join our Volunteer Facebook Group if you would like to. This group provides a fantastic way for volunteers to connect with each other, and share and hear volunteering news and achievements.

Your time
This is a flexible role. We recommend you log in and post on the Carers UK Forum at least once a week.
