Are you registered as a carer with your GP?

We hope you’re keeping well. During this season when colds and flu viruses are common, we’d like to share some info about getting a free flu jab and also guidance on getting support from your GP. Local pharmacies can also be very helpful. Talking to your GP | Carers UK

@Paola_Carers_UK , Yep, get my jabs a few months ago. I’ve had enough needles in my left arm (along with needles used in blood tests), it looks like a pin cushion.

Thank you for sharing @JohnnyBoy

@Jackie66, This just proves that the “safeguards” don’t work. As you said, you end up going round in circles (like circles in a spiral) almost constantly. I like yourself also want to do what’s right for your loved one. But sadly, when you start to question what they do, you get what I call “the evil eye” (a bit extreme I know). Some have the attitude of “why are you questioning us?”. I hope though you don’t give up. Because I won’t. If necessary, be a pain in the neck to them. Also, seek legal advice. Try lawsociety.org. They can point you to people who cangive free legal advice.

Yes it feels like that, i am going to send a letter to the Ombudsmen as it was suggested so will see what hqppens. Im just off to the care home now. Maybe have a chat later if you feel you want to

@Jackie66 , you do so ASAP. I’m going to do something similar regarding the appalling way my mums social worker is treating me.
