I'm new here and feeling very isolated

Hi @McCarer

Never any rush to reply, just drop in when you can.

Your ASBO neighbours sound like ours were. I stuck it out for 20+ years. I’d put in so many environmental health noise disturbance complaints over the years- it would improve for awhile , they’d hate my guts even more and then it would get noisy again. They’ll never move - they are housing association too. Then more noisy people moved into the new builds (part of a rejuvenation project) … so we moved.

You are right about picking out the bits of advice that will work for you and your situation.

Keep in touch when you can.

Hi there, I’ve just joined the Forum and can relate…what a challenge! Have you heard of Tony Attwood? He’s a brilliant resource on Autism on Youtube, lives in Aaustralia/NZ I think. He has replied to my emails, and was a great help. Someone else said about ‘Assessment of Needs’ re Direct Payments for Care and Respite Care etc., plus qualifying for PIP. It sounds like you perhaps might qualify? Have you checked to see if you have an Advocacy Agency who can help you navigate the process of applying for the above? And there’s ‘Attendance Allowance’ you may qualify for. I managed to burnout after being a Carer as a child right through to being a Lady of a Certain Age…remember to take time out for yourself, easy to say I know. :folded_hands::candle::heart::dove::sparkles:
