Carers UK Investing in Volunteer Award

We are delighted to share that we have been awarded the Investing in Volunteers Accreditation for best practice in Volunteer Management.

Investing in Volunteers aims to improve the quality of the volunteering experience for all volunteers and demonstrates that organisations value the enormous contribution made by their volunteers.

Our Head of Carer Services, Michael Shann said, “The Investing in Volunteers experience was truly enjoyable and rewarding. We are honoured and proud to receive the award, which demonstrates our commitment to our volunteering programme and our amazing volunteers. This will enhance the experience of volunteering with Carers UK for current and future volunteers.”

As Carers UK celebrates its 60th anniversary year, volunteers are playing a big part in this supporting with events to reach and recognise carers, as well as raising awareness.

Helen Walker, Chief Executive of Carers UK, said:

“As Carers UK marks its 60th anniversary in 2025, we are very proud to have earnt this recognition. This quality mark is testament to how much we value our volunteers, their time and dedication.
