Just wanted to share if you need help looking after elderly and disabled you can contact carer agencies or advertise yourself on indeed etc usually locall to your postcode area to ask for volunteers looking to gain experience and a employment reference, letter of recommendation for other professional orgisations e.g. care homes, hospital staff. You can draft up a Volunteer Experience Agreement not a contract so they can show their new employers usually volunteers require 3-6 month experience.
@pipsy its ok I care for myself. I just thought about that people having insurance incase of accidents. As I once read an article and two carers didn’t lift a woman properly I don’t know how or if they used a hoist I’m not sure what happened but they broke her back. So when I saw your article I just thought if there volunteers they may not think about insurance as lots of people don’t. And they don’t want to be not covered.
