Has anyone used telecare for non emergancies at what point do they terminate the service when you call out for non emergancies? If you then signup with another company do they pass details on that you were terminated from a previous company?
I dont think there is a service in local areas of a telecare for non emergancies?
@pipsy i think telecare is for emergencies pipsy because if you fall and you press it for help they either then contact your nominated person or they ring 999 for an ambulance for you.
Now if you are wanting something for non emergencies you could try ringing age.uk and ask them I would think they would know if you can get things like this for non emergencies . I don’t know how much they would cost. But they may know of companies that do things like this that are for non emergencies and How much the packages cost.
@pipsy but have you tried age.uk and ask them to see. What are you wanting a non emergency alarm for.
There is a company called sure safe alarms that sell one it does not go to a call centre it goes to up to 3 nominated people like family neighbour. So if they need anything they press the button and it would come through to you. It is not monitored so could be used for non emergencies. It’s just a one off device that you purchase .i don’t know if that is any help.
There are also Mat or pressure sensors. For floor, bed , chair pads .that alert you when an elderly person gets up or out of bed.
Type into Google non emergency monitors for the elderly. There are lots of things for indoor ,outdoor. Some are monitored. Others are not and are connected to the family and not to call centres. Hope that helps
