Letting Go

I have just rediscovered this.
After I was widowed I wrote down little things that I thought might help me on my journey to a new life.
Sadly, on this occasion, I didn’t write down where it came from.

It applies not just to widows, but anyone who has lost a loved one, or a health issue or redundancy has changed life forever.

“If you don’t leave your past in the past, it will destroy your future.
Live for what today has to offer, not what yesterday has taken away”

That is very helpful BB. I’m trying so hard to live at least day by day. Plans for the future, even if continuing with house refurbishing. Hopefully a couple of days away in May. Not far but it’s a start.
I’m sure hubby would want me to miss him, but remember happy times, and not to live a miserable life. Hard, but getting there.

This is helpful. Thanks BB!

“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
– Alexander Graham Bell

“Letting go may sound so simple, but rarely is it a one-time thing. Just keep letting go, until one day it’s gone for good.”
– Eleanor Brownn

“Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.”
– Lyndon B. Johnson

Wise words.
