Following a request for a Carers Assessment I had a phone call when someone from the LA shouted at me, to say I wasn’t a carer. A formal complaint followed and I’ve now been told that it’s low priority as M is being well looked after. No mention of me and my health at all. I have a copy of the L A Carers Policy but wanted to find the relevant legislation. I went to the CUK main site, for the first time since we went over to this new system. It needs some work! Lots of page or similar numbers came up, and it was impossible to find what I wanted.

Technology reminds me of a saying “when she is good she is very, very good, but when she is bad she is horrid! “ Another tech issue here today. Neighbours fence fell down last week, now being completely replaced, after they had a mini digger remove the stupid bamboo the previous people put in. Originally a hawthorn hedge, we gradually winched that out and replaced it with griselinia. We dug the ground over really well to get rid of any weeds, and the plants were expensive. Next new neighbour didn’t want a hedge to cut, so just put a fence in front of it without any prep whatsoever. Property developers then bought the house, put bamboo in front of the fence, much to my dismay, about 10 years ago. Now the bamboo has gone, but in doing so they dug through my CCTV camera cable. It would be the most important one of the lot, when I’m going away on Monday! Our area used to be virtually crime free, now it’s one of the highest crime areas. 8 properties burgled one night all around us, but we reckon the cameras put them off.
