Hi. I’ve been told that we shouldn’t enter a service users home before our double up has arrived, we should always enter together even if the other carer is very late. Can you tell me if this is right please.

this forum is primarily for those caring for a family member or a friend. A few members have done a little paid care work in addition to supporting a loved one.
Personally if my relative had double up visits, it would depend if some tasks could be carried out by the one paid carer whilst waiting for the other to arrive… A big issue for those using paid carers is that visits are often cut short.
As an employee, you can only go by what the agency is instructing you to do.
