Worried about your parent or another older relative who lives alone in London?

14 March 2016

Dave CSP portraitDo you worry about your parent, parent-in-law or other older relative who lives alone?

We're looking for people to take part in a new research project to help us better understand how technology solutions can help people live independently at home for longer, and provide reassurance for their family. You could get up to £110 for taking part.

To help think about what would work best, we would like to find out more about the challenges that people face, and how technology solutions could support them.

What does this involve?

We want to talk to people who find themselves worrying about a parent / parent-in-law, or other older relative or friend who lives alone in Greater London or in close proximity.

You might be worrying about whether your relative or friend is up and about, whether they have eaten, if they are cold or whether they have fallen.

To find out about your experiences we would like to invite you to attend a three-hour group discussion that will take place in Holborn (central London) on 5 April 2016 at 10am.

How do I sign up?

Please register your interest by Wednesday 16 March 2016. Just click the link below, answer the short screening questions and we will be in touch within the next few days to give you more information. It is fine if you change your mind later on and decide you do not want to take part.

What do I get for taking part?

If you are eliglible and decide to take part in the study, there is a financial incentive for your time, which also covers travel. We will give you more details about this once you have registered your interest.

By sharing your own experiences you will also be helping us to better understand how new technology solutions can help people live independently at home for longer. This understanding could help shape future products and services.
